Merry Christmas, sun salutations and water!

I have two things to say, sun salutations and water! Here's why...

Morning sun salutations

Before you begin any festivities, do your morning salutations, don’t leave it until later in the day, it won’t happen plus this is the best time for your stomach.

Strengthens and increases flexibility of the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, fingers, back, stomach, waist, abdomen, thighs, knees, calves, ankles and toes.

Strengthens the entire digestive system (including stomach, pancreas, intestines, liver, kidneys.)

Prevents and cures constipation.

Normalizes the endocrine glands, especially the thyroid gland.

Helps with menstrual irregularity.

Boosts immunity.

Makes your mind calm and balanced. Invigorates the nervous system (including the brain, spinal cord, lower plexus, and cures brain-fog, forgetfulness, worries and other forms of mental fatigue and anxiety.

Higher fluid intake increases the volume of urine passing through the kidneys. This dilutes the concentration of minerals, so they are less likely to crystallize and form clumps. Alcohol is a diuretic, so it makes you lose more water than you take in. This can lead to dehydration, Adults are 60 percent water, and our blood is 90 percent water.

The cartilage, found in joints and the disks of the spine, contains around 80 percent water. Long-term dehydration can reduce the joints’ shock-absorbing ability, leading to joint pain.

Blood is more than 90 percent water, and blood carries oxygen to different parts of the body.

It boosts skin health and beauty. With dehydration, the skin can become more vulnerable to skin disorders and premature wrinkling.

It cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues. Dehydration can affect brain structure and function. It is also involved in the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Prolonged dehydration can lead to problems with thinking and reasoning.

It regulates body temperature, the bowel needs water to work properly. Dehydration can lead to digestive problems, constipation, and an overly acidic stomach. This increases the risk of heartburn and stomach ulcers.

It flushes body waste. Water is needed in the processes of sweating and removal of urine and faeces.

It helps maintain blood pressure. A lack of water can cause blood to become thicker, increasing blood pressure.

The airways need it. When dehydrated, airways are restricted by the body in an effort to minimize water loss. This can make asthma and allergies worse.

It prevents kidney damage. The kidneys regulate fluid in the body. Insufficient water can lead to kidney stones and other more serious problems.

Try drinking 2L per day.

Ok now you can go and have your turkey and christmas pudding! enjoy.
